With only a few points between Enniscorthy and Faithlegg Golf Club it showed how evenly matched this friendly inter-club tournament really is. Enniscorthy obviously with home advantage hosts this in memory of the late Jim Whitney who was a dedicated member and officer of the club. As the recession bites in and clubs are forced to re-evaluate the number of teams they enter into tournaments annually we were delighted to see the old faces back again and sorry to have absent friends from Waterford and Coollattin. We hope that next year will bring better tidings and prosperity to clubs as they come to terms with they initial loss of members.
