What a successful year it's been for the ladies teams in their inter-club and National tournaments. The ladies Senior Cup team went all the way to the semi-finals. In the quarter-final tie Enniscorthy defeated seasoned campaigners Co. Louth. Aisling O'Leary beat 2004 Irish Champion Deirdre Smith before Carla Reynolds levelled the tie for the Leinster Champions. Jennifer King restored Enniscorthy's advantage and when Margaret Mooney closed out her match on 17, Enniscorthy advanced to the Irish Senior Cup semi-final for the first time ever.

Enniscorthy were up against Douglas, the eventually winners, losing out having fought well by 3½ to 1½. This was an outstanding achievement for the team, the club and golf in Enniscorthy who went in as the rank outsiders to get to the final stages of this Senior Cup, the first time in the clubs history. The Ladies' Senior Cup panel would like to thank all supporters who travelled to Malone Golf Club in Belfast to support them. A special mention must go to
Betty Bowen who travelled on the 4am bus from Enniscorthy to Dublin with a connection to Belfast. Betty arrived in a taxi just in time to see the ladies tee off on Saturday morning. Some of our gentlemen members saw Betty safely home to Enniscorthy on Saturday evening.
It was a first for our ladies whilst defending champions, Royal Portrush were in search of their 25th Senior Cup title. Second favourites and seasoned campaigners, Co. Louth were in shock as the relentless Enniscorthy Ladies sensationally defeated them in rather inclement weather conditions for a finish to advance to the Irish Senior Cup semi-final for the first time ever. Alas, Douglas proved too strong for our ladies and went ahead to claim their 13th Irish Senior Cup title. It was a fantastic achievement for our club and rest assured they will be there next year again. On the panel for Enniscorthy were: Aisling O'Leary, Ciara Sharkey, Jennifer King, Nicky King, Margaret Mooney and Connie Doyle. The team was managed by Helen Cosgrave.
