Doyle cards great score in over 70's

Last Thursday’s Open Senior competition at Enniscorthy Golf Club attracted a record turnout of 157 mature golfers competing for prizes sponsored by Harry and Bridie O'Connor. These open events have become a very well supported social outlet and sporting activity over the past few years and the organisers were obviously thrilled with the large attendance on such a lovely day with ideal golfing conditions. Credit is due to the senior committee members of Morgan Dunne, Maurice Boyle, Eamonn Houlahan, John Thorpe, Pat Mulvey and Neville Tector who tirelessly work to promote, organise and carry out the mundane but necessary task of auditing the returned cards for each of the three categories. Great praise for the condition of the course was expressed from the many visitors especially remarking on the quality and speed of the greens. Next outing Thursday the 12th of November at Enniscorthy kindly sponsored by Martin Doyle and time sheets are currently active.
